Day 0: Driving to El Cajon

Just a brief update. Left Independence and drove to the Hampton Inn in El Cajon. Along the way, we dropped off my second resupply at the Warner Springs Post Office and continued toward Mt. Laguna. As we drove through Julian, I started to notice snow on the north facing slopes. By the time, we hit Laguna Mountain Lodge (where I dropped off my first resupply) there was a fairly solid coating of snow on the ground. I’m glad I changed my mind and put my spikes in my pack.

Tomorrow, I start the trail!!
