Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve

Timing is everything. These pictures were taken on March 12, 2019, just three weeks before my second trip to the Reserve. While the reserve was still beautiful with green rolling hills (and incredibly windy), the poppies were few and far between, with mostly buds and newly sprouted plants popping up.
