Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve - March 2019

Timing is everything. These pictures were taken on March 12, 2019, just three weeks before my second trip to the Reserve. While the preserve was still beautiful and incredibly windy, poppies were few and far between, with mostly buds and just sprouting plants popping up.
